Me and a friend once hiked up to this so remote signal box just after it had snowed. We built an 8' snowman, covered it in solar powered LED lights with a battery backup. It made the local newspapers and TV. They never did find out whodunnit.

This has got to be the the best ever footage of a steam train's progress through some lovely scenery. I've never seen better. The use of strong zoom lenses and great sounds make this remarkable. That low winter early morning fog in the moorland and the trail of train exhaust smoke, so well captured. Many film directors would kill to have footage like that under their belts. This is not just filming, it is a truly creative work of art.

Thanks for posting this David, it's a great reminder of the sure-footed 8f in action and happy days on the Cumbrian Coast. I hope my last trip behind her from Preston to Shrewsbury and back wasn't the last we'll see of her in action.
